I have some flannel pads that I have used for ~7 cycles now and I hate that they are so high maintenance. I love my minky pads because I just rinse and throw them in the wash. That's it. My flannel pads need rinsed, soaked in a pre-treatment, scrubbed, washed, then sunned every cycle to keep stains out. I like them and they are comfortable and make ( Read more... )

Out of the blue and with no changes in washing, my pads don't get as clean as they used to. They're all of varying ages and varying fabric (but mostly flat cotton). I have some cloth pads from Gladrags -- one set is dark green flowered and the other is a plain purple. I use the same cleaning methods for both. The dark green ones come out perfectly clean. You can't even tell they have been used. The purple ones however look bleached where the blood was and this is from the point I rinse them after taking them ( Read more... )

I handwash each pad after I remove it, because I don't have enough to get me through my cycle without washing. I was using Method, but ran out, and I already have Woolite on hand. I've never had this problem before, but all of a sudden my blood has been bleaching my pads. I had some surprise torrential bleeding and I mostly have cloth liners so I whipped up some pads from some cheap purple Joann's fat quarter fabric to deal with it and it's only doing it to those pads so I'm assuming it's moreso to blame on fabric quality ( Read more... )
